The Platform helps create and run QR orienteering events. Morfejus operates the Platform; each event organiser is responsible for their event content, participants and safe delivery.
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of Atklaj.Morfejus.lv, organiser accounts, event-building tools and participant game pages.
The Platform is provided by Association “Morfejus”, registration No. 40008300196, registered address Maurēnu iela 6–10, Aizkraukle, LV-5101, Latvia (“Morfejus” or the “Platform”). By creating an account, registering for an event or continuing to use the Platform, you agree to these terms and the rules published by the relevant event organiser.
2. Who is responsible
Morfejus
Operates the Platform, organiser panel, QR functions, result aggregation and support.
Event organiser
Determines the event content, schedule, locations, participation rules, safety requirements and purposes for using participant data. The organiser and their contact details appear on the event page.
Participant
Follows event rules, acts safely, provides appropriate information and does not disrupt other users.
3. Organiser account
- You must be authorised to act for yourself or the organisation you name.
- Keep your email reachable and your password secure and confidential.
- You are responsible for actions performed through your account and must promptly report unauthorised access.
- Misleading accounts and impersonation are prohibited.
4. Creating and managing an event
The organiser chooses the event settings, languages, registration fields, checkpoints, schedule and whether the event appears on the public website.
The organiser must publish lawful and accurate information; obtain necessary permissions; test QR codes, links and the route; assess safety; explain age or equipment requirements; choose a justified participant-data retention period; and respond to participant data requests. Do not submit unnecessary personal data for automatic translation, and review translations before publishing.
Listing on the public homepage is not guaranteed. Morfejus may reject or remove misleading, incomplete, unsafe or non-compliant content.
5. Participating in an event
Participants must follow the organiser’s rules and keep access codes secure. They must assess their own abilities, traffic, weather and surroundings. Scanning a QR code never overrides traffic, property or safety rules.
Location permission is needed only where the organiser enables a location check, map or live tracking, and can be managed in browser or device settings. A legal guardian and the organiser are responsible for the necessary permission and supervision of minors.
6. Content and intellectual property
The Platform software, design, name and Morfejus content belong to Morfejus or the relevant rights holders. Users may use them only for the Platform’s intended purpose.
Organisers retain rights to their uploaded content, confirm they may use it, and grant Morfejus the limited right to store, process and display it as necessary to operate the Platform and deliver the event.
7. Fair use
You must not publish unlawful or rights-infringing content; access another user’s account or protected data; bypass QR, result or security controls; introduce malware or overload the Platform; or reuse participant data for an unexplained purpose.
8. Availability
Morfejus works to keep the Platform stable, but internet, device, browser, GPS, map, email and other external services may occasionally fail. Organisers should test their event and have a reasonable fallback. Features may change or pause for maintenance and security; material planned changes will be communicated within a reasonable time.
9. Fees
Creating an organiser account and using the Platform’s core features is currently free. If paid features are introduced, the price and terms will be shown before purchase. No charge will be imposed without the user’s clear choice.
10. Ending use
An organiser may request account and related-data deletion by email. We may verify the requester’s identity. Morfejus may restrict access for a material breach, a security threat or harm to others and, where possible, will first allow the user to remedy the issue.
11. Liability
Each party is responsible for its actions under applicable law. Morfejus is not responsible for an organiser’s route, content, physical event safety or participant conduct. Morfejus remains responsible for the Platform to the extent required by law; these terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes, law and contact
Latvian law applies. We first seek to resolve concerns through discussion; unresolved disputes follow the procedure provided by law. The effective date will be updated when these terms materially change, and account holders may also be informed by email.
